Ceramic Hands

Fourth grade students created ceramic pieces based on slabs of clay cut out in the shape of their hands. They were challenged with finding a way to use these organic shapes to make something functional or decorative. Ceramic Boxes

Fifth grade students built ceramic boxes based on either a geometric or organic shape. They were required to create a fitted lid and to place a “surprise” inside the box.

Recycled Insects

The 2nd and 3rd grade created insects made from recycled materials. Some of the insects are studies of actual bugs others are created from imagination.
